SAP
R/3 Security & Business Process Control Assessments
We have extensive experience performingEnterprise Resource Planning
(ERP) system control assessments, specifically business process and
technical infrastructure risk and control considerations around the SAP
R/3 application:
- Help companies identify any inherent risks related to
the
key
business processes and SAP R/3 security
(the Basis component of the SAP
R/3).
- Help minimize or eliminate exposure to such risks
and ascertain
the reliability
of
the control environment in SAP R/3 by ensuring that the
necessary
controls and security are in place and operate effectively.
- Evaluate operating effectiveness of the configuration
settings, monitoring
techniques, and access restriction
mechanisms to
sensitive transactions in SAP R/3.
- Leverage SAP R/3 standard security reporting tools or
the client’s installation of Approva or GRC/Virsa set of tools to
perform assessments of internal controls intended to prevent or decrease the
risk of fraud, errors or irregularities by assigning
conflicting duties to different personnel.
